Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have previous knowledge in self defense?
No previous knowledge necessary! We will teach you everything you need to know.
Can I get hurt?
As with all physical activity, there is inherent risk. However, our instructors spend the appropriate amount of time necessary to prepare you physically. None of us are here to hurt each other, and everyone should have a safe, fun, and educational experience. This is a complete martial art, meaning we use the whole body system to defend ourselves when necessary.
How old does my child need to be to start?
We generally start children at the age of six years old. However, if a child has exceptional focus and concentration, we may look to make an exception.
Does age play a factor?
As we age, the natural ability of our bodies decline. Practicing a martial art can be an excellent way to maintain and even increase your physical ability. Our goal is not to push you beyond your limits, it is to help you become the best version of yourself.
